Job summary

Thompson Concrete Construction is seeking a Track Hoe Operator to safely and efficiently operate excavators and related equipment on commercial concrete projects in Ohio. You will support site prep, excavation, grading, and material handling while coordinating with foremen, superintendents, laborers, and finishers.

You must perform daily equipment inspections, be mindful of utilities and job-site conditions, and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating track hoes, excavators, or similar heavy equipment in a commercial construction environment.
• Experience with excavation, trenching, footing work, grading, backfill, loading trucks is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, including working around utilities, people, equipment, trucks, and active job site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate track hoes, excavators, and other assigned equipment on commercial concrete construction projects.
• Perform excavation, trenching, footing excavation, grading, backfill, loading, demolition support, and material movement as directed.
• Read and understand basic site plans, grade stakes, layout marks, elevations, and instructions from field leadership.
• Work closely with foremen, superintendents, laborers, finishers, and other operators to keep the job moving safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs, unsafe conditions, or mechanical issues right away.
