Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support a wastewater treatment plant project in Austin, Texas. You will safely operate excavator/backhoe and forklift, perform grading and trenching, and maintain logs and daily equipment checks.

Requirements include 1–3 years of heavy equipment experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment screening and safety compliance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• High School Diploma or GED; documentation required at application.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license and able to read safety docs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavator/backhoe, forklift, and related equipment.
• Build level surfaces and excavate land areas as directed.
• Follow load charts and identify safe handling limits.
• Maintain daily equipment usage logs and perform daily maintenance.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental rules; report hazards.
