Job summary

MWH Constructors seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for Track Excavator to support a wastewater treatment plant project in Austin, TX. The role focuses on safe operation, earthmoving, and equipment maintenance on a major industrial site.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in heavy equipment operation, understand load charts, and hold a valid driver's license. Pre-employment screening and drug tests are required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of excavator/backhoe/forklift as required.
• May level and excavate land surfaces using graders and other equipment.
• Read load charts and understand excavator loading requirements.
• Maintain awareness to avoid hazards and overhead utilities.
• Operate related equipment and perform daily maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain daily equipment usage and maintenance logs.
• Identify and report hazards; follow safety and environmental rules.
