Job summary

MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction, seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (Track Excavator) to support a wastewater treatment plant project in Austin, Texas. You will operate excavators and related equipment safely and efficiently.

This role collaborates with site teams to ensure compliance with project specifications. The role requires 1–3 years of operator experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read load charts.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• High School Diploma or GED; documentation must be provided at time of application.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavator/backhoe/forklift.
• May build level and excavate land surfaces using graders and other construction equipment.
• Load charts and equipment capabilities knowledge.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage and perform routine maintenance.
• Identify hazards and ensure safety rules are followed.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel.
