ManpowerGroup is seeking a Technical Project Manager - Vehicle System Integration in Foster City, CA. You’ll lead cross-functional teams within Systems Engineering, coordinating safety analyses and system integration efforts for automotive applications.

The role emphasizes governance of system specifications, ECR management, and clear health metrics reporting to executives. Onsite in Foster City, you’ll work with a diverse, multi-disciplinary group to advance safety-critical vehicle technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Systems Engineer in automotive, aerospace, or advanced vehicle contexts.
• Deep familiarity with the systems engineering V-model lifecycle and fail-operational architectures.
• Experience leading safety workflows like SFMEA, DFMEA, FTAs with ISO 26262 / MIL-STD-882 compliance.
• Strong background in vehicle E/E system design and hardware/software interfaces.
• Proficient with project, change, and configuration management tools (JIRA, Smartsheet, Jama, Polarion, DOORS).

Responsibilities

• Manage the release train, maturity lifecycle, and governance for System Technical Specifications across program gates from PI to OKTB.
• Lead SFMEA lifecycle workshops and track actions to ensure safety mitigations are integrated into hardware/software schedules.
• Create and maintain the master dependency matrix linking engineering teams and resolve timeline disconnects.
• Oversee Engineering Change Requests, evaluate impacts on timelines and resources.
• Define and track health metrics of Systems Engineering deliverables for executive status updates.

Our client, a leader in the automotive and autonomous vehicle industry, is seeking a TPM - Vehicle System Integration to join their team. As a TPM - Vehicle System Integration, you will be part of the Systems Engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Manage the release train, maturity lifecycle, and governance for all System Technical Specifications (STS) across all program gates from PI to OKTB.
• Act as the operational owner of the System Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (SFMEA) lifecycle, facilitating workshops and tracking action items to ensure safety mitigations are integrated into hardware/software schedules.
• Build and maintain the master dependency matrix linking various engineering teams and proactively resolve timeline disconnects to keep engineering progress on track.
• Lead the program management of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), ensuring all stakeholders evaluate impacts on timelines and resources.
• Define and track health metrics of the Systems Engineering team’s deliverables, providing high-density status updates to executive leadership.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Systems Engineer in aerospace, autonomous vehicles, or advanced automotive settings.
