Job summary

Burlington Subaru in Simsbury, CT is seeking a skilled automotive technician dedicated to repairing vehicles safely and efficiently, with customer satisfaction as the top priority. The role requires maintaining ASE or manufacturer certifications and staying current with service bulletins and safety regulations.

You will diagnose customer issues, perform authorized repairs, document all work, road test when needed, and meet production metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand customer complaints; diagnose and advise findings.
• Complete authorized repairs per manufacturer and company policy.
• Return warranty parts to parts department and road test vehicles as needed.
• Properly document all repairs using Repair Orders and online tools.
• Meet flat-rate hour production-based metrics.
• Act as a leader, mentor, and trainer to employees in the Technician, Lube Technician, and Apprentice Technician roles.

• Maintain ASE and/or manufacturer-required certifications; stay up to date with all manufacturer technical data as well as service bulletins. Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations that pertain to your job.
• Read and understand customer complaints; diagnose and advise findings; complete all authorized repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company policy; return warranty parts to parts dept and road test vehicles as needed to verify completion of repairs.
• Properly document all repairs using both internet-based tools and physical Repair Order documentation as instructed per department requirements.
• Meet all flat-rate hour production-based metrics as prescribed by Management.
• Act as a leader, mentor, and trainer to employees in the in Technician, Lube Technician, and Apprentice Technician roles.
