Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our RTP, NC facility. The position involves handling specimens, performing routine and complex lab procedures, and ensuring instrument performance, with a night schedule Tuesday through Saturday.

This entry-level role offers new grads comprehensive training and opportunities to develop clinical laboratory skills. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science and may pursue ASCP/AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
