Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC seeks a Technologist to join the Toxicology team. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with responsibilities including testing specimen suitability, performing procedures, and reporting results to support quality patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor's (or MLS) in a chemical/biological science and relevant clinical lab experience; ASCP/AMT certification preferred and ability to work independently in a high-volume lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
