Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our Special Chemistry team in Burlington, NC. The role supports routine and complex testing under SOPs with new reagents and controls, and involves instrument troubleshooting and ensuring timely results for patient care.

New grads are welcome; full training is provided. This position follows a Monday-Friday night shift (11:00pm–7:30am) with opportunities for growth within Labcorp's global lab network and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology is required.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
Assist with processing of specimens when needed
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
