The Town of Gilbert is seeking a Town Traffic Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team and steer transportation initiatives in a dynamic municipal setting. The role focuses on policy development, project delivery, and maintaining high safety standards for our growing community.
You will mentor staff, manage budgets and grants, and serve as the Town’s expert on transportation issues for the Town Engineer, Town Manager, and Planning Commission.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Incumbents may be subjected to operating a motor vehicle, moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and travel.
