Betacom in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Tower Technician to lead and assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and related equipment. You will work irregular hours, travel frequently, and perform duties at great heights while following safety protocols.

You will climb towers up to 100 feet, install antennas and RET systems, perform line and connector work, and help train junior technicians. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of telecommunications industry experience.
• Good communications skills, reading and writing in English.
• Must be able to lift over 70 pounds.
• Safety training: ComTrain, OSHA10, RF Awareness, First Aid/CPR.
• Experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, tower mapping, and antenna equipment.
• Experience stacking self-support towers and installing waveguide, antennas, and microwave dishes.

Responsabilités

• Climbs and works on communication towers to install, replace, and repair antenna system equipment.
• Basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Completes required daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Knows hazards associated with tower climbing and energized lines.
• Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb load.
• Troubleshoots RET systems.
• Trains lower-level tower techs.

OVERVIEW:

Leads and assists in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures and related telecommunications equipment. Leads by example to facilitate timely job completion. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Climbsandworksoncommunicationstowersforthepurposeofinstalling,replacing,andrepairingantennasystemsequipment.Doesnotrequireclosesupervision.
• Thebasicuseandcareofhandtoolsandmechanicalequipment.
