Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Tower Loader for a fast-paced warehouse environment in York, PA. The role involves loading pallets, operating forklifts, and ensuring safe, efficient trailer loading. You will use RF handhelds and voice-picking systems to verify pallets and maintain safety throughout shifts.

The position offers paid training, weekly pay, benefits from day one, PTO, and holiday pay. Candidates should be able to lift up to 60 lbs and work the 3rd shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating practices.
• Team-oriented with a positive work attitude.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and standing/walking for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers with forklifts and ensure damage-free loading.
• Move merchandise using forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Inspect trailers for damage before loading and verify pallets with RF devices.
• Wrap pallets and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Position Overview

Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Tower Loader, you will move pallets of merchandise from staging areas and load proper trailers. This is a fast-paced role, perfect for energetic individuals who are highly organized and like to stay active

Job Description

• Starting rate $19/hr with an earning potential of $25+/hr after training!

• Full Time, 3rd shift available

• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday OR Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday

• 6pm start until done (overtime as required)

• Location: 4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406

You will contribute by:

• Loading full pallets of merchandise into trailers and ensure damage is avoided.

• Utilizing forklifts, electric pallet jacks and/or clamp machines to move merchandise

• Inspecting trailers for damage before loading.

• Utilizing RF handhelds and/or voice to verify loading of pallets.

• Wrapping pallets with stretch wrap.

• Moving at a fast pace to prevent backlog of trucks and/or product

• Performing equipment inspections & completing appropriate forms

• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Keeping work area clean

• Performing other job related duties as assigned

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
