Cox Automotive is hiring a Tow Truck Operator in Bridgeton, MO to provide towing services for customer vehicles on-site and at various locations as needed. You will operate a tow truck with a boom, attach loads safely, perform routine maintenance, and assist with jump-starts and unlocking vehicles as requested.

A valid driver’s license, DOT certification, and forklift/heavy equipment knowledge are required. We offer paid time off, holidays, and additional leave options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years in a related field (heavy equipment)
• Alternative combo: any degree/certification beyond HS in related discipline
• OR 5 years' experience in a related field
• OSHA forklift/heavy equipment certification with recertification every 3 years
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving required
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear during shift
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
• Vision abilities: close, distance, color, depth perception, focus

Responsabilités

• Operate a tow truck to provide tow service on-site and at other locations
• Attach loads safely with boom lift to prevent damage
• Move vehicles to designated areas on the lot or to the mechanic
• Assist in unlocking vehicles, jump-starting batteries and Lot Vision usage
• Tow vehicles to sale areas and perform routine maintenance checks
• May assist during sale day operations and other lot duties
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety programs
• Occasional overtime as business needs require
• Report generation to move vehicles into sale TRA area
