Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Tow Truck Driver I with DOT certification to operate a tow truck on-site at Cox locations, primarily in Tampa. The role includes loading/unloading, vehicle movement for auctions, and safety-focused towing with TC75 scanning.

Requires a high school diploma or GED plus 3 years of heavy equipment experience, OSHA forklift certification, and a valid driver’s license. Overtime may be required; benefits include PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related heavy equipment experience.
• OSHA forklift/heavy equipment certification with recertification every 3 years.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to pass safety certifications.
• Effective communication and organization skills required; commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tow truck to provide tow service on the Tampa parking lot and other locations as needed.
• Tow vehicles with a boom lift and move vehicles for auction operations.
• Ensure safe towing operations to prevent damage or hazards.
• Assist in unlocking vehicles and jump-starting batteries as requested.
• Run TC75 scans to log towed vehicles; support sale activities and safety procedures.
