Cox Automotive is seeking a Tow Truck Operator to service customer vehicles on the Tampa lot and at other locations as needed. DOT certification is required and you will operate a tow truck with a boom lift, attach/detach safely, and move vehicles to auction areas.

You will scan towed vehicles with TC75, assist with jump-starts and unlocks, and perform routine maintenance. A HS diploma/GED with 3 years of heavy equipment experience and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years heavy equipment experience.
• OSHA forklift/heavy equipment cert with 3-year recertification cycles.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Customer service oriented.

Responsabilités

• Operate tow truck on Tampa lot and other locations; DOT certification required.
• Operate boom lift to load/unload and move vehicles to auction areas.
• Attach/detach boom safely to prevent damage; ensure vehicle safety.
• Haul vehicles to directed areas in a safe, courteous manner.
• Scan towed vehicles using TC75 and document deliveries.
• Assist customers with jumping batteries and unlocking vehicles.
• Tow vehicles to the mechanic shop as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on tow truck and loader.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
• Overtime may be required as business dictates.
