Qualifications

• Must hold NCCO Certification, Class B CDL, and Rigging/Signal Person Certification.
• Proven experience operating boom trucks or similar mobile cranes.
• Strong understanding of load charts, rigging principles, and crane safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, load charts, and site plans.
• Excellent hand–eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a boom truck to lift, position, and transport materials at job sites.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of the boom truck and its hydraulic systems.
• Read load charts to determine safe lifting capacities based on angle, radius, and weight.
• Communicate with ground crew, riggers, and signal persons during lifting operations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report issues.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain logs of daily operations, inspections, and maintenance.
• Transport the boom truck to and from job sites in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Assist with rigging and load securement as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Willing to travel to various job sites as required.
