Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Tow Truck Driver I - DOT to operate tow trucks and front-end loaders on the auction lot and other Cox locations. You will attach tow gear, move vehicles safely, perform basic vehicle service tasks, and assist customers and staff as needed.

Qualifying candidates have a HS diploma or GED with 5 years of related experience (or equivalent). A valid driver’s license and DOT prerequisites are required; CDL is preferred. This is an on-site role with day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; plus related field experience (5 years).
• Or alternative: degree/certification beyond HS with 3 years of related experience or 7 years total in the field.
• Valid driver’s license required; Pre-hire DOT physical.
• DOT Driver Qualification file completion and Class C CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a tow truck to provide tow service on the auction lot and other locations.
• Operates a front-end loader to load/unload and move vehicles on the lot.
• Securely attach/detach tow equipment and ensure vehicle safety during towing.
• Tow vehicles to the designated areas and assist with jump-starts and lockdowns as needed.
• Run TC75 scans for towed vehicles and support lot operations during sale days.
