Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a tow truck operator and loader assistant to support vehicle operations in the Grove City area. You will tow, load, and move vehicles on the lot for auctions, ensuring safe handling and adherence to policy.

Responsibilities include scanning towed vehicles, assisting with jump-starts and unlocking, plus routine maintenance and safety participation. This role may require overtime and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 5 years in related field or an alternate combination (degree/certification plus 3 years) or 7 years experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• 1–3 years of experience driving a tow truck or front-end loader.
• Pre-hire Physical needed for DOT medical card.
• DOT Driver Qualification file must be completed.
• 5 Panel Drug test may be required.
• Adhere to Vehicle Use Policy.

Responsibilities

• Operates a tow truck to provide tow service on the SAAA parking lot and other locations; may require dollies.
• Operates a front-end loader to load/unload for customers and move vehicles on the lot for auctions.
• Safely attaches tow/loader to vehicles to prevent damage; releases and leaves vehicles in a safe, immobile state.
• Hauls vehicles to directed areas in a safe and courteous manner.
• Scans every towed vehicle using the TC75 to the delivery location.
• Assists with towing and jump-starting vehicle batteries as requested.
• Assist with unlocking vehicles or Lot Vision as needed.
• Tow vehicles to the Mechanic shop as requested and remove improperly parked cars.
• Perform routine maintenance on tow truck and loader.
• Participate in safety activities and comply with safety procedures.
• Run reports to move vehicles into the sale TRA area for auction.
• May work overtime as needed.
