Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking a Tow Truck Driver I - DOT Management Level to operate tow trucks and a front-end loader on the auction lot and at various locations. You will secure vehicles, perform safety checks, and assist with battery jump-starts, unlocking vehicles, and other lot operations.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years of tow truck or front-end loader experience, a valid driver’s license, and a DOT medical card. CDL Class C is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field. OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience; OR 7 years’ experience in a related field.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required. Pre-hire Physical needed for DOT medical card. Completion of DOT Driver Qualification file. Valid Class C CDL preferred. Rollback tow truck experience. 1 – 3 years of experience driving a service/tow truck or frontend loader.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tow truck to provide tow service to customer vehicles on the auction lot and in different locations as needed.
• Operate a front-end loader to provide a loading and unloading service for the customers.
• Move vehicles around the lot for auction shops and ensure safe, immobile parking after towing.
• Scan towed vehicles with TC75 to the delivery location and assist with jump-starting or unlocking vehicles as requested.
• Perform routine maintenance on tow trucks and front-end loader and participate in sale day activities.
