Job summary

Paul's Auto Yard in Merrillville, IN is seeking a reliable Tow Truck Driver to provide prompt, courteous towing services for our customers. You will operate a flatbed tow truck, respond to dispatch calls, and ensure safe loading and unloading of vehicles.

The role requires a valid For Hire endorsed driver's license, a current DOT physical, and a clean driving record; prior towing experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations.
• Respond to dispatch calls promptly and professionally.
• Safely load, secure, and unload vehicles using proper procedures and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of the tow truck to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Follow all DOT, company, and local safety policies and procedures.

Summary/objective

Job Description

A Tow Truck Driver is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and professional towing services to our current and new customers.
