Job summary

Cruz Bay Watersports at The Westin Resort Frenchmans Reef in St. Thomas, VI seeks a hotel concierge to assist guests with area information, dining, activities, transportation, and reservations.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, initiating requests, booking excursions, and coordinating with hotel staff, requiring excellent customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in customer service or concierge settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work holidays, nights and weekends is expected.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage: None

• Initiate and follow up with guests’ requests received in person and through other communications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent from an accredited institution (preferred)
• Previous experience in customer service, concierge and/or equivalent work experience a PLUS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to walk on various types of surfaces including rough terrain, sitting, standing, maintaining balance, and working alone.
• Must be able to work various work settings such as exposure to sunlight and outside temperature.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons contacted during the work.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and safe practices.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment, read and interpret documents.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
• Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.
