Job summary

ISLAND TIME WATERSPORTS CARIBBEAN LLC seeks a hotel concierge to assist guests at the Westin Resort Frenchmans Reef in Cruz Bay, St. Thomas, VI. Duties include providing local information, dining and activity recommendations, and processing guest requests and reservations.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends in a demanding resort environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience at a hotel, concierge, or similar role preferred.
• Clear communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests at the Hotel Concierge Desk with local information and bookings.
• Provide area recommendations for dining, activities, transportation, and sightseeing.
• Process guest requests and reservations, following up as needed.
• Coordinate with staff/departments to resolve guest issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage: None

Responsibilities

• Providing service at the Hotel Concierge Desk
• Providing guests with area information – dining, land and water activities, transportation, sightseeing, etc.
• Initiate and follow up with guests’ requests received in person and through other communications
• Confirming guest requests and reservations
• Booking guests onto excursions
• Researching and providing guests with additional information as requested by the guest
• Communicating guest resolutions with appropriate Staff/Departments on property
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Management Team
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent from an accredited institution (preferred)
• Previous experience in customer service, concierge and/or equivalent work experience a PLUS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to walk on various types of surfaces including rough terrain, sitting, standing, maintaining balance, and working alone.
• Must be able to work various work settings such as exposure to sunlight and outside temperature.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons contacted during the work.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and safe practices.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment, read and interpret documents.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
• Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.
• Must be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
