HAP Alaska Yukon is seeking a Tour Sales Representative to act as the Rail Division's Traveling Concierge in Denali. You will guide guests through land-based tours, share tour highlights, and ensure a memorable experience.

You’ll manage guest inquiries, present itineraries via microphone, process sales, and handle manifests, vouchers, and POS entries while supporting occasional Food & Beverage tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to reside in company housing where available.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations.
• Eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Accompany up to 88 guests per train car, potentially 3 cars per shift.
• Suggest dining, entertainment, excursions, and next-day itineraries.
• Coordinate with Denali lodges for special requests (dietary, mobility).
• Manage manifests and record tour availability for future dates.
• Present information to guests on a microphone.
• Complete tour sale vouchers and input tours into POS.
• Handle daily reports, luggage counts, and sales reconciliation.
• Assist with Food & Beverage operations when needed.

Tour Sales Representative

We believe travel has the power to open minds and build connections. In this role, you will share your knowledge as the Rail Division's Traveling Concierge, sharing all the amazing tours and features of our land-based operations in Denali National Park.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accompany a range of up to 88 guests per train car, may have up to 3 cars assigned based on scheduled shift.
• Give suggestions for dining, entertainment, optional excursions, and the following day’s itinerary.
• Communicate with Denali area lodges regarding any special requests pertaining to the hotel, dietary, and mobility issues that may affect standard operating procedures at the lodge or with third-party vendors.
• Effectively manage manifests to keep an accurate record of tour availability for future dates.
• Routinely presents information for up to 88 guests at a time on a microphone.
• Complete handwritten tour sale vouchers fully and legibly.
• Regular entry of tours into a POS (point of sales) system.
• Complete all necessary paperwork such as daily reports, luggage counts, and sales reports.
• Assist in the reconciliation of all tour sales.
• Assist with Food & Beverage operations when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver’s license (not revoked or suspended) with no more than 2 moving violations.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
