The Stanley Hotel located in beautiful Estes Park, CO is seeking Tour Guides. As a Tour Guide, you’ll be responsible for providing information and/or answering guest questions about The Stanley Hotel and guiding groups through the grounds & buildings of The Stanley Hotel. Our Tour Guides will provide the highest level of guest service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining an up to date working knowledge and historical knowledge of The Stanley Hotel
  • Learning and presenting the script for all tours
  • Opening and closing tour areas
  • Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner, acknowledging them upon arrival
  • Fulfilling tour ticket agent duties when not leading tours
  • Answering questions about The Stanley Hotel, tours, and guided tours
  • Interacting with associates in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Listening and responding to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice
  • Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events

Job Requirements:

The ideal Tour Guide will have previous experience as a tour guide or attractions host or hostess and have a passion for The Stanley Hotel and its history.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn and retain The Stanley Hotel’s historical and technical information
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking) for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
  • Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
