Job description

This position pays hourly plus tips!

The Stanley Hotel located in beautiful Estes Park, CO is seeking Tour Guides. As a Tour Guide, you'll be responsible for providing information and/or answering guest questions about The Stanley Hotel and guiding groups through the grounds & buildings of The Stanley Hotel. Our Tour Guides will provide the highest level of guest service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Must come in and apply in person!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining an up to date working knowledge and historical knowledge of The Stanley Hotel
  • Learning and presenting the script for all tours
  • Opening and closing tour areas
  • Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner, acknowledging them upon arrival
  • Fulfilling tour ticket agent duties when not leading tours
  • Answering questions about The Stanley Hotel, tours, and guided tours
  • Interacting with associates in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Listening and responding to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice
  • Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events

Job Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn and retain The Stanley Hotel's historical and technical information
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking) for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
  • Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
