Job summary

Bridgewater State University seeks a part-time Tour Guide to welcome visitors and showcase campus life. You will lead walking tours for prospective students and families, staff group visits, and major admission events.

Extensive training in social skills and public speaking will be provided. Shifts run two hours on weekdays with some weekends and holiday tours; applicants must be BSU undergraduates enrolled for at least six credits in Fall 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Candidate should be comfortable guiding groups and speaking to diverse audiences.

Position Information

Title Tour Guide

Position Description

Tour guides will play a crucial role in the recruitment of new undergraduate students and serve as the public “face of the university” for those visiting Bridgewater State University. Tour guides will be student ambassadors of the university who lead prospective students, families, and school/community groups on walking tours of campus. They will staff the daily tours, group visits, special tours, and major admission events.

Extensive ongoing training will be provided in social skills, public speaking, and all aspects of our university.

Shifts are two hours long and available Monday through Friday from 9:30 am – 11:30 am or 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm, with occasional weekend events and options to work holidays tours.

Eligibility requirements: Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.

Physical Demands

Successful candidates must be able to move throughout campus and university buildings for one to two hours at a time, with longer periods during major events.
