Job summary

Bridgewater State University invites applications for the Outreach & Marketing Internship in Undergraduate Research. This paid position requires 5–10 hours per week and focuses on promoting undergraduate research opportunities in an equitable and accessible way on campus.

You will create social content, host info sessions across student services, and present at Admissions events, collaborating with a diverse student body and university staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a BSU undergraduate registered for at least six credits for Fall 2026.
• Experience with undergraduate research and/or Honors at BSU is preferred.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and accessibility.
• Interest in promoting research and honors to diverse groups of peers.
• Facility with creating social media content.
• Ability to balance independent work with seeking help when needed.

Responsibilities

• Create and post social media content about research opportunities, events, and grants.
• Hold info sessions at LGCIE, the Pride Center, SAS, Commuter Services, and other locations where diverse groups of students gather.
• Speak at Admissions events, in classes, and during “snack chat” sessions.
• Brainstorm and carry out new ideas for promoting Undergraduate Research and Honors opportunities in inclusive, equitable, and accessible ways.

Position Information

The Outreach & Marketing Internship in Undergraduate Research is a paid position for one or two student-researchers who are committed to making Undergraduate Research opportunities equitable and accessible to their BSU peers.
The Internship has a flexible schedule for 5-10 hours per week. It includes creating and posting social media content about research opportunities, events, and grants; holding info sessions at LGCIE , the Pride Center, Student Accessibility Services ( SAS ), Commuter Services, and/or other locations where diverse groups of students gather; and speaking at Admissions events, in classes, and “snack chat” sessions.
The Intern(s) will be invited to brainstorm and carry out new ideas for promoting Undergraduate Research and Honors opportunities in inclusive, equitable, and accessible ways.
Eligibility requirements:
Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
