Job summary

The Engine is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Intern in Cambridge, MA for a six-month temporary position. You will support execution and management of strategic partnerships across our Tough Tech ecosystem, reporting to the Director of Partnerships.

You will work with corporate partners, investors, founders, and internal teams to translate relationships into tangible opportunities for The Engine's community of companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, climate or energy, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies, entrepreneurship, commercialization, venture capital, or corporate innovation.

Responsibilities

• Help manage strategic partner relationships and ensure commitments and follow-ups are executed.
• Facilitate introductions to prospective customers, pilots, and strategic partners.
• Support investor connections by coordinating introductions and programming.
• Translate partnerships into founder value by identifying applicable resources and opportunities.
• Develop deep understanding of The Engine's company community and its commercial priorities.
• Coordinate partnership activations, meetings, workshops, and founder programming.
• Prepare partner and company materials including briefs and presentations.
• Conduct research on companies, technologies, and market opportunities.
• Maintain operational discipline by tracking activity in CRM and systems.
• Collaborate with programs, community, events, and leadership to deliver value to founders.
