Figeac Aero North America is seeking a Touch Up Painter for the 3rd shift in Wichita, KS. The role requires precision painting, masking, and surface prep on aerospace parts, with emphasis on primers and top coats to Mil specs.

A minimum of 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma are preferred; company benefits apply. We offer competitive hourly pay ($17.00–$19.00) with a $1.00 shift differential, full-time status, and opportunities for career growth within a supportive team

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• 1+ year experience in painting primers, fuel cell and top coat preferred.
• Previous aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong self-motivation and quality focus.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Excellent attendance and positive attitude required.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions carefully and maintain attention to detail.
• Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on various surfaces.
• Mask and de-mask parts as required.
• Prepare parts before painting, including masking, sanding, and cleaning.
• Maintain complete work-flow documentation.
• Inspect paint results for accuracy and finish.
• Final inspection responsibilities may be trained.
• Keep paint equipment clean and area organized.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Job Title: Touch Up Painter (3rd Shift)

Reports to:Processing Manager

Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA

Shift Hours:

3rd Shift Monday to Friday 10:00pm to 6:30 am

Pay Rate:$17.00 - $19.00, dependent upon relative experience

Shift Differential: $1.00 /hr in addition to hourly rate

Job Duties

• Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions and be attentive to details
• Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types
• Mask and de-mask parts as required
• Prep parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning
• Complete work flow documentation thoroughly and properly
• Inspect results of paint applied
• Inspection: Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted
• Final Inspection: Will be trained for Final Inspection responsibilities
• Clean and repair paint equipment and keep work area organized
• Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times
• Keep work area clean
• Assist other departments as necessary

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have 1+ year experience with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat, preferred
• Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
• Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
• Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
• Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
• Excellent attendance and positive attitude is required
• Team player and willing to learn new skills

Working Conditions

• Some overtime may be required
• Ability to regularly and frequently lift 25 pounds
• Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment
