Job summary

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden seeks an Employee Benefits Manager to administer comprehensive benefit and well-being programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent employee support. You will work with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate renewals, enrollments, and communications while advancing Total Well-Being initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in employee benefits, well-being programs, or related HR specialty.
• Experience administering employee benefit programs and working with brokers, carriers, consultants, and vendors.
• Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, FMLA, and other benefit laws.
• Experience independently managing projects or processes from planning through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer assigned employee benefit and well-being programs with accuracy, timeliness, and follow-through.
• Coordinate annual benefits planning, renewals, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for employee benefit questions and sensitive matters with compassionate support.
• Monitor participation, cost information, and vendor service results for assigned programs.
• Develop employee communications and educational resources to make benefits easier to understand and use.
• Support workers' compensation administration, documentation, and claims coordination.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and metrics related to benefit costs and utilization.
