Job summary

Premier Health is seeking a strategic Manager, Total Rewards – Benefits to lead the design, operations, and continuous improvement of our employee benefits programs in Dayton, OH.

You will oversee retirement plans, vendor relationships, and cost-management initiatives while guiding a high-performing team and collaborating with executives to attract and retain top talent.

This role emphasizes engagement, compliance, and data-driven decisions to strengthen the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR/Business/Finance or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in benefits, total rewards, or compensation and benefits.
• Deep expertise in retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), deferred comp).
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing teams.
• Financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Knowledge of benefits regulations, compliance, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations, administration, and enhancement of employee benefits programs.
• Oversee retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and deferred compensation programs.
• Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, recordkeepers, and other benefit vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure service excellence.
• Develop cost-management strategies while maintaining competitive, employee-focused benefits.
• Partner with Finance, HR leadership, and key stakeholders on planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable benefits and retirement plan regulations.
• Analyze program performance, utilization trends, and market data for informed decisions.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to foster a culture of excellence.
• Drive employee benefits education and communication initiatives.
