You will partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to drive payroll, bonus programs, audits, and benefits administration across multiple entities, while maintaining confidentiality. This role requires strong knowledge of payroll systems and labor laws, with a bonus if UKG experience is present.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll, compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or Business.
  • Experience with UKG payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple entities.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Administer monthly and quarterly bonus programs.
  • Support reporting, audits, and reconciliations including certified payrolls and fringe benefits.
  • Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs and enrollments.
  • Maintain payroll and benefits records with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to support compensation initiatives.
  • Assist with payroll tax reporting, deductions, garnishments, and union requirements.
  • Drive process improvements in payroll and compensation.
  • Respond to employee questions about payroll, bonuses, and benefits.

Job description

A Total Rewards Specialist is a key role within Human Resources responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Total Rewards Specialists bridge the gap between employee needs and organizational strategy, ensuring that rewards programs support both employee well-being and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process weekly and biweekly payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple entities
  • Ensure payroll is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Administer and track monthly and quarterly bonus programs
  • Support reporting, audits, and reconciliations including certified payrolls and fringe benefits that complies with Davis-Bacon Act
  • Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee support
  • Maintain payroll and benefits records with a high level of confidentiality and accuracy
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to support compensation and benefits initiatives
  • Assist with payroll tax reporting, deductions, garnishments, and union requirements
  • Help improve payroll and compensation processes through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Respond to employee questions related to payroll, bonuses, and benefits in a professional and timely manner
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll, compensation, benefits, or total rewards administration in union and non-union environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Business
  • Experience using UKG payroll system is a plus
Skills
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing preferred
  • Experience working with both union and non-union payroll environments
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and compensation tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
