Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager, Total Rewards to lead retirement and financial benefit programs across the U.S. and Canada, guiding a team through plan administration, employee support, and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with Payroll, Finance, Legal, and HRIS to ensure accurate, timely program delivery. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in Total Rewards focusing on 401(k) and cash balance plans, strong analytics, and Workday expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive Total Rewards/Benefits experience with retirement plan administration.
• Experience with recordkeepers, actuaries, auditors, legal counsel, payroll, finance, and HR partners.
• Working knowledge of ERISA, plan documentation, audits, nondiscrimination testing, and governance.
• Ability to explain complex retirement plan provisions clearly.
• Advanced analytical skills with data analysis, financial modeling, and cost projections.
• Proficiency with HRIS (Workday) and benefits platforms.
• Strong communication and ability to influence senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead retirement and financial benefit programs across the U.S. and Canada.
• Coach and support a team responsible for program administration and employee questions.
• Act as a trusted resource on retirement plan administration and plan provisions.
• Support cash balance plan operations, including data reviews and benefit calculations.
• Assist with plan governance, notices, funding, and nondiscrimination testing.
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, Legal, Compliance, HRIS, and external vendors.
• Create clear employee communications and educational materials.
• Lead or support projects such as plan changes and vendor transitions.
