Job summary

Etsy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Total Rewards to define strategy, lead a team, and own outcomes for how we reward our people. You will shape a unified approach to compensation and benefits, partnering with Finance, Legal, and the Board to ensure programs reflect Etsy’s business realities.

Expect equity, annual bonus, and competitive benefits, with presence in Brooklyn office 1–2 days weekly. You will guide a high-impact function, translate business strategy into pay and benefits

Qualifications

• 12+ years in total rewards, with expertise in compensation and benefits.
• Experience leading senior practitioners (directors or senior managers).
• Track record of setting and executing Total Rewards strategy, not just administering programs.
• Comfort at the executive level; advising CHRO or CFO and presenting to a board compensation committee.

Responsibilities

• Set Total Rewards strategy rooted in Etsy's business understanding and performance philosophy.
• Lead a team including Director of Compensation and Senior Manager of Benefits, ensuring integrated programs.
• Present Total Rewards strategy and changes to executives and the compensation committee.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and HR leadership to reflect programs in systems and processes.
