Job summary

Hire Point Recruiting is seeking a Human Resources Benefits Specialist in Totowa, NJ to manage day-to-day benefit programs and ensure compliant administration. You will be a key resource for employees, assisting with questions on eligibility, enrollment, and claims, and coordinating annual open enrollment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in HR and 2+ years in benefits administration, with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or related area.
• Working knowledge of employee benefits and regulations.
• Experience with HRIS and/or benefits administration systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer-service mindset with ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
• Serve as primary contact for benefits questions, eligibility, enrollment, coverage, and claims.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment including communications, system updates, and enrollment activities.
• Process new-hire enrollments, life events, changes, and terminations.
• Maintain benefits information in HRIS and benefits systems.
• Work with carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve issues.
• Review and reconcile benefit invoices; resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with benefits reporting, audits, and compliance.
