Job summary

Pepper Source is seeking a TQ Lead for the 2nd shift to oversee mixing operations and ensure product quality. You will supervise staff, monitor sanitation, and verify critical batch parameters while complying with safety standards.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, strong English reading/writing skills, and the ability to handle repetitive, heavy lifting in a fast-paced food processing environment. You will be responsible for accurate paperwork and timely production.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and write English; follow safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operates or directs other workers to operate mixing machine to blend ingredients for processing.
• Collects production paperwork and electronic pad for Batch Master.
• Verifies sanitation, temperature, and product characteristics.
• Calibrates load cells and verifies ingredients before batch mixing.
• Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pumps and related equipment.
• Relays problems to Department Supervisor.
• Performs duties of Process Techs in their absence.

Job Title: TQ Lead

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

2nd Shift

Hours: 2:45pm-11:15pm

Overtime required based on production need.

$21.00/hour

Operates or directs other workers to operate mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

• Collects the production paperwork and electronic pad and accessories for Batch Master.
• Verifies the production room has been sanitized and swabbed.
• Verifies the temperature, consistency, salt, and/or color of the product.
• Verifies the calibration of load cells.
• Verifies ingredients prior to the start of the batch mixing.
• Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blenders and/or hoppers.
• Sets an example for all employees in the areas of personnel and food safety.
• Immediately relays any problems or concerns with product to the Department Supervisor.
• Performs job duties of the Process Techs in their absence.

Education and/or Experience
