Job summary

Pepper Source, Ltd. is seeking a Packager for first shift to verify quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment. You will perform packing duties, assemble boxes, apply labels, and ensure products meet customer specifications.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and following safety guidelines in a fast-paced production environment. Competitive benefits are offered.

Reports To: Department Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
1st Shift
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Overtime required based on production need.

Summary

Verifies quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensures correct box type, box liners and packing methods are used.
  • Assembles boxes and affixes labels on packaging.
  • Examines packs, cups, or bottles and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications.
  • Palletize boxes onto correct pallets to follow customer specifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
