Job summary

Pepper Source, Ltd. is seeking a Forklift Driver on the 2nd shift. The role requires operating a propane-powered forklift, moving pallets and materials, and maintaining accurate inventories.

Compliance with safety policies and regular attendance are essential in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking, and assisting with trailer moves while following strict safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Must be able to pass forklift operations with proper safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate propane powered forklift and lifting devices to move products and materials.
  • Position loads under forks and transport to designated areas.
  • Unload, stack, and inventory materials on the work floor as required.
  • Complete forklift checklists in computer and report issues.
  • Load/unload trailers as needed.

Job Title: Forklift Driver

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

2nd Shift

Hours: 2:45pm-11:15pm

Overtime required based on production need.

Pay: $17.50/hour

Drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, lift beam and elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Completes forklift checklist in computer.
  • Replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • May be required to load or unload trailers.

Education and/or Experience
