Job summary

Kemper Corporation in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Total Loss Adjuster to resolve claims identified as potential Total Losses. You will review coverage, estimates and charges, and manage related expenses to close losses cost-effectively within authority levels.

Responsibilities include timely contact with insureds and coordinating with various parties. Candidates should have 2+ years in property/casualty handling, licenses for relevant states, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of property and casualty handling experience including negotiation.
• Must apply for and possess all state licenses required by assigned states.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with insureds and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Resolve assignments on Total Loss claims and review estimates and charges.
• Coordinate Rental/Loss of Use and other expenses within policy guidelines.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, and third parties promptly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of Total Loss, Salvage and Title laws for applicable states.
