Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Total Loss Adjuster to resolve assignments across owner retained, classic and exotic lines, including Commercial Auto and fixed property. You will review coverage, estimates and charges to determine Total Loss Evaluation, and manage related rental and use expenses within authority levels.

Responsibilities include timely communication with insureds and claimants, negotiations on settlements, and ensuring compliance with applicable state laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of property & casualty handling including investigation, total loss and negotiation.
• Must obtain state licenses promptly.
• Excellent planning, organization and time management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual abilities may be required.

Responsibilities

• Resolve assigned claims identified as potential Total Losses and review details for evaluation.
• Control Rental/Loss of Use and related expenses within guidelines.
• Conclude assigned claims timely and cost-effectively per company rules.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and service providers clearly and empathetically.
• Adhere to Fair Claims Practices Acts and state regulations; apply knowledge of Total Loss laws.
