Job summary

Easy Foods is seeking a Bakery R&D Scientist to lead new product development for tortilla manufacturing, taking ideas from whiteboard to shelf with bakery expertise in flour handling, fermentation, and formulation. You will collaborate with production, marketing, and QA to refine flavors, textures, and shelf life and to bring breakthrough tortilla products to market.

Experience in tortillas, flatbreads and related baked goods is essential; Spanish language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bakery experience is required, with flour, fermentation, and formulation.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field.
• Tortilla, flatbread, snack chip and flour-based baked goods manufacturing experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop tortilla and snack products from concept to launch.
• Turn trends into tangible, sellable innovations.
• Fine-tune formulations for flavor, texture, shelf life, and scale.
• Partner with production, marketing, and QA to bring winners to market.
• Push the boundaries of what a tortilla can be.
