Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a Senior Manager, R&D – Tortilla to lead our product development function in San Antonio. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to deliver high-quality products on time.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of R&D experience in food manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and hands-on commercial experience with tortillas. The position requires on-site work five days a week and involves up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of R&D and/or Technical Services experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on commercial experience with baked products/tortillas.
• Experience in collaborating with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of R&D scientists and manage product development projects.
• Evaluate and prioritize project requests based on capabilities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and drive team culture.

Skills

R&D experience in food manufacturing
