Job summary

Los Tacos No. 1 is hiring a Tortilla Prep to support our kitchen operations. You will prepare ingredients, trim and portion items, and help maintain supply levels for upcoming shifts.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to recipes, and teamwork during peak hours. Responsibilities include coordinating with cooks and taqueros, maintaining cleanliness, following food safety procedures, and assisting with inventory organization.

Qualifications

• Basic food safety knowledge and handling
• Ability to follow recipes and portions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning condiments following recipes and quality standards
• Monitor ingredient levels and communicate with kitchen staff to ensure adequate stock for upcoming shifts
• Assist with inventory organization and rotation as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and proper function of kitchen equipment and follow cleaning protocols
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols including proper storage, labeling and handling of ingredients
• Collaborate with cooks and taqueros to coordinate preparation and ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
• Support quality control by inspecting ingredients for freshness and consistency in portions and presentation
• Assist with general kitchen duties including dishwashing, cleaning, and workstation organization
