Job summary

Los Tacos No. 1 is hiring a tortilla prep to support our fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare ingredients, chop vegetables, marinate meats, portion condiments, and ensure stock for upcoming shifts, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work with cooks and taqueros to keep a smooth workflow during peak hours and assist with general kitchen duties as needed. We offer $18/hr plus tips; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be flexible to work evenings, weekends,

Qualifications

• Previous food preparation experience, preferably in fast-paced settings.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion sizes accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and stay calm during busy periods.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning condiments.
• Monitor ingredient levels and communicate with kitchen staff for adequate stock.
• Assist with inventory organization and rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper function of kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols for storage, labeling, and handling.
