Job summary

Polaris Inc. Huntsville is seeking a Torque Specialist to support production tooling, calibration, and tool performance. You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and establish torque sets to ensure accurate assembly across models.

You will train operators, collaborate with M.E and Q.E, and assist maintenance with PM and tool repairs. The role requires problem-solving, multitasking, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a Torque Specialist or equivalent external experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalency required; AA degree preferred.
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience.
• Strong computer troubleshooting skills for processes, products and tools.
• Flexible to meet production, quality and engineering needs.
• Capable of performing torque auditor duties across all lines.
• Understanding of torque concepts, monitoring equipment, pneumatic and electric tools.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Support production lines on tool related issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints; knowledge of GD&T.
• Establish and validate P-Sets per drawings; apply to torque monitor.
• Maintain and calibrate production tools per schedule.
• Train operators on tool use and sign-off verification.
• Communicate with tool suppliers on applications of torque tools.
• Assist maintenance with PM and tool repair; support rework with tool programming.
• Monitor torque results and report trends or out-of-spec conditions.
