You will read blueprints, select tooling, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement and requires 2+ years machining experience and familiarity with GD&T.

Qualifikationen

• Technical training, machining certification, or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with CNC machining, programming, or setup preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate machine tools such as CNC mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to achieve required tolerances and quality standards.
• Measure and inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
• Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and document quality inspections.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and an organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Group Leader.
• Work overtime as required to support business needs.
