Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Topographic Aerial Sensor Operator to join our Dayton, Ohio-based Aerial Acquisitions team. You will support sensor operation and data reporting for airborne mapping missions, working closely with geospatial professionals.

The role requires travel on a rotating schedule, strong data collection focus, and the ability to work independently or in a team while adhering to safety and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; GIS degree preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience with ESRI software/ArcGIS and TerraSolid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ground and flight operations, including mission planning and safety briefings.
• Ensure accurate data collection for quality control.
• Understand tactical and wide area mapping collection.
• Comply with regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Download, edit, and troubleshoot sensor data; set up GPS base stations and flight planning.
