Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is seeking a skilled Top Trimmer to support utility vegetation management. The role involves advanced tree trimming and removal, operating aerial lifts, and directing field crews to ensure safe, efficient work near energized lines.

You will train and lead crews, coordinate job-site setups, and uphold safety protocols while maintaining equipment and working outdoors in varying Michigan conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience on tree crews and completion of Top Trimmer qualifications.
• Knowledge of ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements and A300 Pruning Standards.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL, and medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced tree trimming and removal work aloft or with aerial lift equipment.
• Lead job site setup, maintenance, and traffic control.
• Direct tree felling, rigging, and clearance near energized lines.
• Guide ground-level pruning and removal; support crew inCrew Leader's absence.
• Apply herbicides per laws and company guidelines.
• Operate tools and heavy equipment; drive and maintain vehicles.
• Ensure safety by identifying hazards and communicating clearly.
