Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is seeking an experienced Trimmer to support utility vegetation management and line clearance for our clients. You will perform ground-level and elevated pruning, operate chainsaws and related gear, and assist with site setup and safety procedures in field conditions.

The role requires climbing or aerial lift work, a valid CDL, and a commitment to safety while complying with regulations. Competitive pay and ESOP benefits accompany growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months experience on tree crews as a Trimmer Trainee.
• Valid driver’s license and CDL; medical certification as required.
• Ability to work at heights using climbing gear or aerial lifts.
• CPR and First Aid certification (provided by Lewis).
• Acquire and keep required training and licenses for safe use of herbicides.

Responsibilities

• Ground-level and aloft tree pruning, felling, and vegetation removal to maintain clearance around power lines and equipment.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and similar equipment; use handlines to lower limbs and equipment; fell and rig trees.
• Assist with job site setup, maintenance, rigging, traffic control, and general cleanup.
• Support job site safety by spotting, assisting climbers, and communicating hazards.
• Travel as needed for work, including overnight stays.
