Lewis Tree Service is seeking a Trimmer to help manage vegetation for utility lines and clients. You will perform ground and aerial pruning, operate chainsaws and related gear, and support site setup, safety, and travel as needed. The role emphasizes safety, training, and climbing capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of experience on tree crews as a Trimmer Trainee.
• Basic knowledge of tree species and arboriculture pruning techniques.
• Ability to work at heights and use climbing gear or aerial lifts.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL, and medical certification as required.
• CPR and First Aid certification provided by Lewis.
• Acquire and maintain training and licenses for safe herbicide use.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.

Responsabilités

• Perform ground-level and elevated pruning, felling, and vegetation removal to maintain clearance around power lines.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and similar equipment; rig and lower limbs safely.
• Assist with job site setup, maintenance, rigging, traffic control, and cleanup.
• Support job site safety by spotting, assisting climbers, and communicating hazards.
• Travel as needed for work, including overnight stays.
